What we believe
“Though we cannot all think alike, may we not all love alike?”
”In essentials unity, in non-essentials diversity, in all things charity.”
The primary founder of the United Methodist Church, John Wesley, exhorted his followers as above. United Methodists continue to be a “big umbrella” church; we unite in our love for Jesus, and in our practice, but we have only a few essential doctrines.
Our deepest tradition is as follows:
- Do no harm.
- Do all the good you can.
- Stay in love with God.
